On April 25th fans of Halo 2 will be able to get their mitts on two free multiplayer maps as well as being able to purchase two further maps for $5.99. The free maps will be “Warlock” (inspired by Halo: Combat Evolved’s “Wizard” map) and “Containment”, a massive level covered with snow. The two maps available for $5.99 are “Turf” and “Sanctuary”, collectively known as the Killtacular Pack. For those who have enormous patience and small budgets, the Killtacular Pack will be free on June 28th.

There are going to be no less than 5 more maps coming out to play in June at the price of just $11.99. The maps are called “Terminal”, “Relic”, “Backwash”, “Gemini” and “Elongation” and this news along with the release of the four maps this April is what Halo 2 players have been waiting for since the game was released last November – servers are expected to be severely tested come release day!

Those who are not connected to XBOX LIVE in order to download the content will have to hang on until June 28th when all 9 maps as well as every update will be available to buy for $19.99.
