Halo 2, Bungie’s upcoming sequel to Halo: Combat Evolved (which is available on the XBOX and PC), has received no less than four nominations for the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2004 this evening, exceeding those of Jade Empire, Splinter Cell 3, God of War and Half-Life 2 who each received three each.
The nominations are for Best of Show, Best Console Game, Best Action Game, and Best Online Multiplayer Game, the results of which are to be announced June 8th this year. The Game Critics Awards are voted on by a group of 35 gaming journalists from major publications such as Time, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and The Los Angeles Times, as well as others.
