The good folks over at Gamespot have just reported that Bungie, masters behind the Halo series, announced today that more than half a billion games of Halo 2 have been played online. This impressive figure does NOT include games lost due to connection or technical issues and relates to games played as opposed to player sessions. Still, half a billion is half a billion - or also known as 500 million; whichever you prefer. And it’s nothing to be sniffed at either. This news is just the latest praise for Halo 2 which has been taking the gaming world by storm, selling 6.4 million copies worldwide in just a few months after its release and more than 91 million hours have been played altogether on XBOX LIVE.
